Objectives and Activities of the IT Bureau
The objective of the IT Bureau is to enhance the level of professional and creative training of students, improve methods for engaging young people in scientific research and information technology, and utilize students' creative potential to address current scientific and industrial challenges.
IT Bureau Goals:
- Creating favorable conditions for the development of highly professional and creatively active future specialists;
- Developing and implementing digital services;
- Designing and developing integrated automated systems for information support throughout the product lifecycle;
- Researching and developing modern organizational and technological solutions in the field of information technology;
- Engaging students from various disciplines to form interdisciplinary teams for university digitalization projects;
- Participating in Russian and regional student organizations.
Functions of the IT Bureau:
In accordance with its key objectives, the IT Bureau performs the following functions:
- Organizing temporary creative teams for digital service development and conducting research and engineering projects under contracts with enterprises and organizations;
- Developing new technologies, software, and other innovative solutions;
- Selecting students and forming theoretical and practical groundwork for their future project activities;
- Providing consulting services in information technology;
- Conducting security, reliability, and applicability assessments of digital services;
- Organizing and hosting seminars, meetings, conferences, training programs, and specialist internships;
- Managing information-technical and promotional publishing activities, including the publication of educational, scientific, informational, advertising, artistic, and journalistic printed materials;
- Engaging in other activities not prohibited or conflicting with the laws of the Russian Federation.
Current Activities
The IT Bureau currently provides students with training in modern software development technologies, subsequently involving them in the implementation of digital services under the framework of the strategic academic leadership program "Priority-2030."
In 2022-2023, a group of students participated in the development of the web application "Effective Contract," the mobile application "navigatorULSU," and modules for automating the learning process within the university's Electronic Educational Information System (EEIS).
Since September 2022, IT Bureau staff have actively contributed to the preparation and organization of events under the federal project "Development of Human Resources in the IT Sector" as part of the national program "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation."
During 2022-2023, the IT Bureau team took part in a mobile application development hackathon and the "Engineers of the Future" conference.
For 2025-2026, the IT Bureau plans to participate in promising digital transformation projects under the "Priority-2030" program, as well as in contractual R&D projects with the Aviastar branch of PJSC "Il."
