USU received a license for a new "Landscape Architecture" educational program of higher education This is the architecture of open spaces, in the organization of which the leading role belongs to natural elements and elements of external landscaping. Specific materials of landscape architecture  are  relief, green spaces, water, small architectural forms.

Graduates of the "Landscape Architecture" program  are in great demand in the modern Russian market, both in megacities with dense buildings, where there is a catastrophic shortage of green oases and competent planning of free spaces, and in the field of landscaping and landscaping of a small area in front of a residential building, a green roof, a section of a city park, a hotel, etc.
