Subrata Das, Minister of the Embassy of India in the Russian Federation at a meeting with Boris Kostishko, USU rector

The guest of honor visited USU and discussed issues of Russian-Indian cooperation in the field of education at a meeting with the rector. Mr. Subrata was accompanied by the head of the international organization "New Era", Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, USU partner from India.

Boris Kostishko said that Ulyanovsk State University accepted students from India for the first time in 1991. These were the first foreigners who came to get an education at USU. This year 127 Hindus received university diplomas, and today more than a thousand Indian citizens study at the university. A day earlier, Subrata Das took part in the graduation ceremony for his compatriots.

Mr. Minister highly appreciated the attitude of the staff and teachers of USU to Indian students, measures for their adaptation. The participants of the dialogue discussed issues of further cooperation.
