Ulyanovsk winter swimmers conquer Volga river before the Olympic Day Run

On June 19, for the first time in the history of Ulyanovsk, members of the Cold Swimming Association operating at  USU, Elena Semyonova and Olga Sokolova, swam across the Volga in its widest part in the territory of our region - from the village of Undory to the coast adjacent to the village of Arkhangelskoye. The distance between these shores is 28 kilometers, but taking into account the flow of the river, the athlete swam 30 kilometers. The race took 15 hours and was dedicated to International Olympic Day.
